David Marin (pronounced “marine”) is half Puerto Rican, half Irish-European, and all American. Raised in the Midwest, he went to prep schools on the East Coast, college in Colorado, and law school in California, where he has spent the past twenty years. David is a former Vice President of two California media companies, including Pulitzer Newspapers on the central coast, and he's the founder and publisher of three private magazines in Atherton, Los Altos Hills, and Portola Valley/Woodside, all near Palo Alto, California.
An adventurer by nature, David has skydived in Arizona, water skied on the Caribbean, and rescued olive ridley sea turtles in Costa Rica. By far the greatest adventure of David’s life is fatherhood. He and his children live in California.
David is on the Board of Directors of Listening to Parents, a national adoption advocacy non-profit, and the board of directors of the local high school FFA farm booster club. He is one-third owner, along with his sisters, of an agricultural sciences goat being raised by his daughter for the county fair.
David is a former Court Appointed Special Advocate, helping kids in foster care.
